Let me just start off by saying, I was absolutely terrified of this day.
You see, I’ve never ever done a newborn session in my life. I’ve always been vehemently against ever even attempting to do one. It was something that never ever interested me. I’m sorry, you want me to spend 3+ hours sweating in an 80 degree room with a crying baby who is going to poop and pee all over me just to get a couple of poses? No thank you. Not to mention posing…oh, posing a newborn is not easy! I’d seen it done. Had great respect for those who have done it, and pretty much stood in awe with my mouth wide open when I saw baby whisperer Elaina Janes do Cayden’s newborn session. I never, ever, EVER wanted to attempt it. Because I would surely fail.
Funny thing about artist though. We always want to challenge ourselves. So I decided to challenge myself in the best way possible. And Kent thought I was insane. :p
The night before I couldn’t sleep. I was up all night watching youtube tutorials, reading blog posts, and texting people way too late. And when I finally got to sleep I had nightmares about the session. I’m not even kidding you.
Then the time came, and after it was all done and over with, I have to admit.
I. Am. Hooked. ❤
I’m so glad Rob and Sam let me practice on this sweet babe. And I’m even more glad that some of them are even ok!
Ok. I’ve wasted enough time talking. I know you’re all here for the pictures. 😉
