Ben & Heidi | A Country Wedding in Bellevue, Ohio

Our journey with Ben & Heidi started last October when Heidi drove way too far to come see us at a bridal show. 😉 After a love letter from Stephanie and countless amounts of hinting from Heidi, Ben was finally convinced that we were the right photographers for them. When we met up with them for their engagement session (and met a furry friend who met an untimely end…), we literally had so much fun!

Naturally, we expected to have a lot of fun on their wedding day (which we did, because duh…), but we never expected to be overcome with emotion the way that we were! See, Heidi is a really special person. We mean seriously special. We’re not sure we’ve ever encountered anyone who was as sweet, kind, generous, loving, and GENUINE as this girl! It’s really no surprise that she attracts amazing people that want to be a part of her life. And Ben? Well, Ben is a pretty typical farmer. 😉 Extremely practical and makes decisions with his head rather than his heart. We NEVER expected him to react the way he did to his bride coming down the aisle! And the small tributes that were made to his father and brother throughout the day were so incredibly thoughtful and really affected us.

Ben & Heidi, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your amazing wedding day! We feel like we are the ones who were blessed the most, simply because we can now call you our friends!

Allow us, if you will, to tell you a little story.

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Heidi, who for some reason though that two weirdos named Kent & Steph were the bee’s knees. So, she traveled almost three hours away just to see them at a bridal show because she heard they were having some pretty sweet deals. And the rumors were true. So she set up a meeting with the strange photographers, and was unable to bring her fiance along. He was the bankroll. He needed convinced. And he wasn’t even there for Kent & Steph to charm. Unthwarted by these mere obstacles, Stephanie decided to write Ben a little love note. Let the simplicity of the written word never again go underestimated. For behold! We give you…Ben & Heidi!

The whole week leading up to the wedding, we were getting nervous about the forecast. It was changing every day… 60% chance of rain, 80% chance of rain, 40% chance of rain…but the day of the wedding turned out to be absolutely GORGEOUS (the Kent & Stephanie good luck streak continues! Seriously…when you hire us for your wedding, it won’t rain. Snow, maybe…but no rain ;).

If we had to pick a catch phrase for these two, it would definitely have to be, “Anything for the shot!” :p These two are so much fun, and their wedding day was adorable and packed full of hilarity. And prom dresses. So. Many. Prom dresses.
